YUMA, Ariz. - The Historic Yuma Theatre will once again mark the weekend before Halloween with a special showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This year's celebration of the film's 50th anniversary will feature a performance at 8 p.m.
The film will be accompanied by a live shadow cast of local actors performing in front of the screen, enhancing the interactive experience for which Rocky Horror is famous.
Thirty minutes before showtime, audience members can participate in "costume madness," a red-carpet catwalk on stage for anyone dressed in theme-related costumes.
Tickets are $12 per person, or $17 with a prop kit, and are available online at https://www.yumashowtickets.com. Advance purchase is recommended, as previous years have sold out quickly. Prop kits are also available separately for $5. Kits include bubbles, newspaper, disposable glove, party popper, glowstick, toilet paper, party hat, noisemaker, and playing cards.
Audience participation is encouraged, and costumes are welcome. However, attendees are asked to leave performance-related props not included in the official kits at home. Prohibited items include toast, hot dogs, prunes, rice, lighters, and water guns.
"We're beyond excited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!" said Melodia Flores, Event Operations Leader. "We can't wait to see longtime fans and first-timers alike come out and help us make this milestone year truly unforgettable."
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is rated R and contains mature content. Attendees must be 18 years or older, and identification will be required for entry.
