Andrews Federal Credit Union Supports Students Through Mount Vernon Springfield Scholarship Program

Andrews Federal Credit Union invested in the future of local students through its support of the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce's Education Partnership. Through this program, the credit union helped to provide scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing higher education in business-related fields.

Seventeen high school students from the Mount Vernon/Springfield area were recognized this year for outstanding achievement. George Ksenics, Chief Information Officer at Andrews Federal Credit Union, serves on the Education Partnership's Board of Directors, which supports fundraising for the scholarship program and selects scholarship recipients.

According to Andrews Federal leadership, this scholarship program is part of the credit union's strong overall focus on education. "Supporting students as they pursue their educational and career goals is an important part of our commitment to the communities we serve," said Damita Robinson, Chief Operating Officer for Andrews Federal Credit Union. "We are proud to partner with the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the Education Partnership to help local students build solid foundations for their futures."

In addition to the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce's Education Partnership, Andrews Federal continues to invest in education through college scholarships to local students, summer camp awards to fund youth development, financial education programming, and donations to local schools and to non-profits that support education.
