Notice of Utility Tariff Filing

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed TA592-8, requesting Commission approval of tariff provisions relating to its Community Energy Facility (CEF) program. Chugach's proposed tariff revisions include the terms, conditions, and fees for the interconnection of CEFs to Chugach's system, requirements for CEFs after interconnection, the criteria for consumers to participate in the CEF program, and Chugach's reporting requirements. In addition to the standard interconnection application fee, Chugach proposes an application fee of $1,124 for facilities with a capacity of less than 100 kW and a fee of $2,248 for facilities with a capacity of 100 kW and larger. Additionally, Chugach proposes an initial administration fee of $2.80 per month for each subscriber and, if needed, requests a waiver of the regulations at 3 AAC 48.275(b)(3) and 3 AAC 48.540(d), which require utilities to submit cost justification for new rates and fees. Chugach requests that the filing become effective August 1, 2026, with availability of service to commence January 1, 2027.
