Governor Katie Hobbs has ordered flags at all state buildings to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Thursday, Sept. 11, in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 innocent men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of Sept.11, 2001.
Gov. Hobbs issued the following statement:
"On 9/11, we remember and honor the innocent men and women we lost 24 years ago, the survivors, and their families and communities. We salute the bravery of the first responders who put themselves in harm's way to protect others. We will never forget."
Individuals, businesses and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.
