A Family Affair: Metairie Nurse Arrested for Medicaid Fraud

Attorney General Liz Murrill's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrested a Metairie woman for Medicaid fraud. 53-year-old Elaine Handcock, of Metairie, was arrested on August 26, 2026, and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on 1 count - La. R.S. 14:70.1 - Medicaid Fraud.
