WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) is offering assistance to Kansans who are seeking help in evacuating from Jamaica due to Hurricane Melissa:

"The devastation and loss left in the wake of Hurricane Melissa are heartbreaking and has made it extremely difficult for commercial flights to resume operations in Jamaica. It is my priority to make certain that any Kansans who are currently in affected regions of Jamaica are able to safely make it home. If you, your loved ones or your colleagues need help in evacuating due to Hurricane Melissa, I urge you to reach out to my office immediately."

To request assistance, contact Sen. Moran's office at [email protected] or by calling 202-224-6521. For those traveling abroad: the U.S. Department of State offers the Smart Travel Enrollment Program - a free service that allows U.S. citizens and nationals to enroll their trip abroad so the U.S. Department of State can accurately and quickly contact them in case of emergency.<_o3a_p>
