Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) is advising the public of the upcoming closure of its popular Davies Boat Launch Ramp, which will undergo major renovations as part of the Davies Boat Launch Facilities Improvements Project. Beginning Monday, April 27, 2026, the parking lot and access to Davies Boat Launch Ramp (6204 E. Marina Dr.) will close to the public.

During the closure, expected from April 27 into winter (early 2027), the boat launch ramp, restroom and parking lot will not be accessible. Boaters are encouraged to plan accordingly and make alternative arrangements to utilize Long Beach's other launch ramp locations.

Built in 1965, the Davies Boat Launch Ramp is one of the City's key waterfront recreational facilities, utilized by nearly 28,000 boaters in 2025. The improvement project will provide many infrastructure upgrades to the facility, rebuild key site amenities to enhance the visitor experience and ensure long-term functionality and improved service for boaters.

More information about the Davies Boat Launch Facilities Improvements Project is available at lbcity.info/dblaunch.
