Project Background
LA Sanitation & Environment is rehabilitating portions of the 100-year-old North Outfall Sewer Units 20 and 21 from Zoo Drive Right-of-Way (ROW) from the southeast corner of Griffith Park Ferraro Fields to the northwest corner of Griffith Park Ferraro Fields; Doran Street from West San Fernando Road to the end of the cul de sac (near the LA River); and westbound portions of the I-5 and 134 Ventura Freeways.

This project is necessary in order to protect the reliability of the sewer pipeline system. The project will include cleaning of the sewer pipes and siphons, excavation and construction of sewer access pits, replacement or rehabilitation of existing maintenance holes (MH), and replacement or rehabilitation of the sewer pipes and siphons.

Temporary "No Parking" on Doran St in construction work zone; signs will be posted in advance. Driveway access, delivery access, and refuse collection access will be maintained at all times. You may experience some odors during construction; this is normal and will cease upon completion of the construction activity. Mitigation measures will be in place to reduce odors. Improvements to the pipeline will ensure that your sewers are reliable for decades to come. The overall projects dates are Summer 2025 - Summer 2027.
