Sociology lab contracted to support local union

The Syringa State Community Research Lab, including sociology professors Arthur Scarritt and Micheal Kreiter and four current students and recent graduates, has been contracted by a local union to conduct 18 focus groups throughout the state in an effort to better understand and mobilize the union's membership.

The researchers will conduct focus groups in different regions across Idaho, from Coeur d'Alene to Pocatello. Faculty, along with undergraduates and recent alumni trained in rigorous methods through the Intermountain Research Lab, will run the focus groups.
