NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: Sept. 11, 2026

DALLAS - The South Oak Cliff High School Golden Bears will face North Shore Senior High School in the inaugural Roland Parrish Classic at noon, tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Cotton Bowl. As part of a doubleheader featuring four of Texas' top football programs, the day will also feature a college, career, health, and STEM expo and live entertainment before kick off. The expo begins at 10 a.m., proceeds will benefit the Roland Parrish Foundation's scholarship fund for high school students.

VISUALS: Pinkston's JROTC honor first responders and service members
Dr. L.G. Pinkston Sr. High School's JROTC joined West Dallas community members in observing Sept. 11 by honoring military personnel and law enforcement officers. Volunteers prepared a complimentary breakfast, which JROTC students and community members served to local officers and service members. The event gave students and residents an opportunity to thank those who serve and protect the community.
