New York, NY, September 15, 2026 - Closed Loop Partners today released its 2025 impact report, Built to Last: The Circular Path to Enduring Growth, marking a pivotal year in the firm's more than decade-long push to build more resilient domestic material supply chains through a circular economy.
Closed Loop Partners' 11th annual impact report is released amid shifting global supply chains. 2025 was marked by challenging and volatile material sourcing, driven by geopolitical shifts and increasingly concentrated material supplies. Closed Loop Partners' impact numbers underscore the importance of circularity in securing critical industrial resources, and the resilience of the firm's thesis amid market shifts: to build durable infrastructure and technology that keep valuable materials in use and reduce reliance on extracted resources.
Since Closed Loop Partners' inception in 2014 to year-end 2025, the firm's 138 investments in circular companies and projectsA across five continents, 10 countries and 29 U.S. states have kept nearly 20 billion pounds of materials in circulationB. This is equivalent to over $7.5 billion worth of materials and products circulated, and over 33 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions avoided--demonstrating the economic and environmental impact of investments in the circular economy.
As artificial intelligence integration accelerates across all sectors of the global economy, driving the build-out of data centers, spurring renewable energy infrastructure, transforming manufacturing systems, and spiking demand for critical materials ranging from aluminum and water to food-systems inputs and rare earth minerals, Closed Loop Partners highlights its full-year 2025 impact outputs, building on over a decade of work in resource efficiency and supply chain resilience, to advance the circularity of five material streams:
"With the support of our partners and through the work of our investments, industry collaborations and infrastructure operations, the impact we have achieved to date is a testament to circularity's central role in driving economic and environmental resilience," says Ron Gonen, founder & CEO of Closed Loop Partners. "By maximizing the value of materials already in use, we are helping enable greater adaptability amid supply chain shifts, and more enduring growth through market cycles."
With its network of investors and partners, including Fortune 500 corporations, leading financial institutions, major family offices, and industry experts and innovators, Closed Loop Partners advanced its materials-first approach to circularity, unlocking significant impact across its three businesses:
"Fourteen years ago, our team that became Closed Loop Partners recognized the value of the circular economy. Now, we are seeing circularity become central to how global supply chains are shifting, rebuilding systems that offer greater resilience and enabling infrastructure that companies and communities can rely on," says Gonen. "Over the decades ahead, we look forward to continuing our work to scale circularity: building more facilities, accelerating more capital and leading partnerships that put circularity at the center of U.S. industrial supply chains."
