HARRISBURG - House Republican Leader Jesse Topper (R-Bedford) announced that the offices of the 196th Legislative District will remain open throughout the transition to the next state representative of the district.
Former Rep. Seth Grove (R-York) resigned his House seat on Jan. 31. A special election will be held on May 19, which is also the date of the Primary Election.
"Seth should be commended for his years of service to Pennsylvania and, more importantly, his constituents," Topper said. "He leaves a legacy of hard work, finding realistic solutions to the issues facing our Commonwealth. I wish him the best in this new chapter."
The district office will remain open and managed by House staff to assist constituents with state-related issues or problems and continue constituent inquiries already in progress. The district includes the following communities: Dover, New Salem, Seven Valleys and Spring Grove boroughs; and Dover, Heidelberg, Jackson, North Codorus, Paradise and West Manchester townships.
The 196th Legislative District office is located at 2501 Catherine St., York, and is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The phone number is 717-767-3947.
The website, RepGrove.com will continue to offer information and links to constituent service.
