Joe Roberts is a farmer from Belmond, Iowa, and serves as the Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) President and on the Exports and The Grain Trade Committee.
As Iowa corn farmers, we know our success is closely tied to the success of Iowa's livestock industry. Iowa livestock consumes 357-million bushels of corn each year, making animal agriculture one of our most important partners. That's why the ICPB is proud to invest in the Coalition to Support Iowa's Farmers (CSIF).
For more than 20 years, CSIF has helped farmers grow responsibly while being good neighbors. Their mission is to help farmers raise animals responsibly while protecting natural resources, strengthening rural communities and building public trust in Iowa agriculture.
This spring, we partnered with CSIF to host four Farming for the Future Friday radio remotes with WHO Radio's The Big Show. From a local grocery store and the Iowa State University Feed Mill to visits with Iowa Corn members on their farms, we highlighted the important relationship between corn and livestock while sharing the story of Iowa agriculture with listeners across the state.
By investing in organizations like CSIF, Iowa Corn is helping ensure both corn and livestock producers have the support they need to grow, innovate and succeed. Together, we can continue creating opportunities that strengthen Iowa agriculture for generations to come.
Thank you,
Joe Roberts
