The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will host a special webinar celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday Oct. 1, 2025. The session will explore the powerful connection between culture, identity, and mental health within Hispanic and Latino communities.
Kelly Crosbie, Director of the NCDHHS Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services, and other speakers will address how cultural values and experiences shape mental well-being, the impact of stigma on seeking support, and the importance of embracing community strengths. The group will also talk about the mental health resources that are available in North Carolina.
