South Fulton Councilwomen Host 7th Annual YEEK Fest at Welcome All Park

SOUTH FULTON, GA - (October 9, 2025) - Councilwoman Helen Zenobia Willis (District 3) and Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs (District 2) invite the community to attend the 7th Annual YEEK Fest taking place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Welcome All Park, located at 4255 Will Lee Road, South Fulton, GA, 30349. This event is free and open to the public.

Councilwoman Willis has been a driving force behind YEEK Fest since its inception in the City of South Fulton, adding passion and dedication to the community engagement event. She reflects, "YEEK Fest has grown into a cherished tradition in our city-a joyful celebration of movement, music, and our shared history. This year, we are especially excited to highlight the powerful presence of our Divine 9 organizations, the rich legacy of our HBCUs, and the many community partners who make this event possible. Together, we will dance, learn, and honor our culture while strengthening the bonds that unite neighbors, friends, and families across the city."

"We have curated experiences that appeal to every age and interest. The YEEK dance style has been a staple in the metropolitan since the early 1990s. Garnering mainstream attention, its influence and unique dance moves reached superstars such as TLC, OutKast, Usher, Ciara, and Michael Jackson with the unique dance form adopted and included in their chorography.

The 2025 YEEK Fest kicks off with aerobics for seniors, followed by mini-dance sessions throughout the day, focused on teaching attendees the energetic and explosive dance style.

This year's celebration will showcase the rich cultural legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through their vibrant homecoming traditions and will feature the proud participation of members of the Divine Nine, whose contributions continue to inspire unity, leadership, and service within our community. Festivities kickoff with the YEEK Fest Parade beginning at 11:00 a.m.
