LACERS OPEN ENROLLMENT IS OCTOBER 15 - NOVEMBER 17, 2025

LACERS will accept applications for health plan changes, the addition of eligible dependents, and new enrollments from October 15 to November 17, 2025. Changes made during this period will become effective on January 1, 2026. If you do not wish to make changes, no action is required; your current LACERS health coverage will continue for the 2026 plan year. However, LACERS recommends reviewing the Open Enrollment material to stay informed of your benefit options.

The 2026 Open Enrollment packet will be mailed in early October to your address on file in LACERS' system as of August 19, 2025. If your mailing address has changed since this date, the U.S. Postal Service will not forward the packet even if you have submitted a "Change of Address" or "Forwarding Request".

For Members age 65 or over , the Open Enrollment packet will include a 2026 Open Enrollment Statement, a Health Benefits Guide, and an Open Enrollment Overview. For Members under age 65, or those only enrolled in a LACERS dental plan, participants in the LACERS Medical Premium Reimbursement Program, or individuals not enrolled in a LACERS plan, the packet will consist of a 2026 Open Enrollment Statement and an Open Enrollment Overview.

The 2026 Health Benefits Guide will be available online at lacers.org/health-benefits-guide in early October. If you do not receive your Open Enrollment packet by October 20 or would like a hard copy of the Health Benefits Guide mailed to you after that date, please email [email protected] and include in the subject line: "Requesting 2026 Health Benefits Guide," or you may contact LACERS at (800) 779-8328. Please allow seven to ten business days for the guide to arrive via U.S. mail.

ATTEND AN IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL OPEN ENROLLMENT MEETING

If you are considering changing your health or dental plan, LACERS encourages you to attend an Open Enrollment meeting to learn more about benefit plan options and ask questions directly to LACERS and plan carrier representatives. Register through your MyLACERS account or by calling LACERS. All plan carriers attend each in-person meeting. Registration confirmations will be emailed to your email address on file with LACERS. Space is limited, so register now!
