Overnight Closures Scheduled for Webster Tube (State Route 260) for Maintenance work

Alameda County - Due to maintenance work and to ensure the safety of crews and the public, Caltrans will implement the following closures in the Webster Tunnel (Oakland-Alameda) starting tonight. This closure is needed to complete remaining work within the available construction window.

Nighttime Webster Tube Closures
Thursday, February 5th & Friday, February 6th. 2026..

  • Full Webster tunnel closure from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM

During this time, motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Crews will be performing roadway joint work to maintain the tunnel infrastructure and ensure safe operations. Posey Tube will remain open.
