The Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites is launching a new, digital guide on Bloomberg Connects, the free arts and cultural app created by Bloomberg Philanthropies, joining hundreds of cultural institutions around the globe. Bloomberg Connects makes the Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites offerings accessible for either onsite or offsite visits through photo, audio and video features, offering insights into the city of Aurora's story. The mobile guide offers digital access to exhibits, historic sites, and programs, including availability in over 50 languages.
"The Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites' partnership with the Bloomberg Connects App will usher in a new era as part of the museum and historic sites' larger strategy to implement technology to enhance the overall visitor experience," said T. Scott Williams, director of the Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites. "We are excited to see how the app will increase our visibility and accessibility to engage with our current regular visitors and hopefully, attract new audiences; through Bloomberg Connects, we're able to more easily communicate with visitors who speak multiple languages from afar as well as from Aurora's diverse community."
Bloomberg Connects provides free digital guides to cultural organizations around the world. The platform is part of Bloomberg Philanthropies' longstanding commitment to supporting digital innovation in the arts. Bloomberg Connects makes it easy to access and engage with arts and culture from mobile devices when visiting in person or anytime from anywhere. With dynamic content exclusive to each partner organization, the app offers a range of features, including video, audio and text, as well as expert commentary and way-finding maps.
