The City of Watsonville, along with the with Santa Cruz County and other local cities and special districts have teamed up to draft this comprehensive plan to reduce risks from natural hazards including floods, wildfires, earthquakes, coastal hazards, drought, and landslides.
Our goals are to identify strategies to protect residents, neighborhoods, and infrastructure from repetitive disaster damage and maintain eligibility for federal funding through FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Assistance Programs.
