Senator Marshall Praises President Trump's State of the Union Address

Washington - U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), released the following statement after President Donald J. Trump delivered his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress:

"President Trump laid out a clear vision for a stronger, safer, and more prosperous America," said Senator Marshall. "From rebuilding our economy and delivering historic tax relief through the Working Families Tax Cuts to securing our border and restoring peace through strength around the world, the President is delivering real results for hardworking families in Kansas and across the nation."

"Kansans know what matters: lower costs, safe communities, good-paying jobs, and a government that puts America First," Senator Marshall continued. Under President Trump's second-term leadership, inflation has fallen from the 9.1% peak under President Biden, median family incomes have risen by almost $2400, and 401(k) balances have increased by over $24,000. Tonight, the President made it clear-your family is in a better financial position, but our work is not done. We will continue to work with President Trump to make the American Dream more easily attainable for families all across this nation."

"Our country and our local communities cannot function without safe streets, safe schools, and safe neighborhoods. In President Trump's first year back in office, violent crime rates across the country have fallen dramatically. It is this decisive action, highlighted by stronger border enforcement and the removal of violent illegal aliens, that is making our communities safer across America."
