HARRISBURG - Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107) today announced more than $780,000 in PA Small Water and Sewer Program grants were awarded to infrastructure projects in western Schuylkill County.
"Improved water infrastructure is very much needed in so many of our communities," Argall said. "These highly competitive state funds are very important."
"These grants are an important tool for strengthening our communities," Stehr said. "By supporting critical water and sewer infrastructure projects, we are helping ensure residents have safe, reliable systems that protect public health and improve quality of life. I look forward to seeing the positive impact these investments will have in our community."
The following projects were awarded funding:
The PA Small Water and Sewer program awards funding to municipalities and municipal authorities for water, sewer, stormwater and flood control projects. The funding was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development which administers Pennsylvania's economic stimulus packages.
