Fulfill the Prophecy: Epiphone’s heavy flagship, rebuilt

The classic performance-focused guitars from Epiphone get a complete overhaul from the ground up, with evolved futureproof specs ready to meet the demands of today's shredders and chuggers

Epiphone has unveiled the all-new Prophecy Series, a complete reimagining of its performance-focused electric guitar line that first launched all the way back in 2008. The series, designed for players desiring speed-ready specs and heavy tones, now introduces the Prophecy Victory FR, Les Paul™ Baritone, Les Paul, SG™, and Flying V™.

"The Prophecy Series is built for players who expect more from their instruments," states Aljon Go, Product Development Manager at Epiphone. "By pairing our iconic designs with modern performance features like custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups, Hyperglide necks, and stainless-steel frets, we've built a lineup that's fast, versatile, reliable, and built for today's players. Every detail was engineered to help musicians focus less on their gear and more on their performance."

"Heavy music comes in more than one shape, and the players pushing it forward aren't coming from just one scene," adds Lewis McKinney III, Marketing Manager at Epiphone. "The rebuilt Prophecy Series gives guitarists across metal, hardcore, and beyond an instrument they can count on gig after gig, with the range to turn the sound in their heads into something you can feel in the room."

What can I expect from the new Epiphone Prophecy Series?

With modern heavy genres expanding and evolving at a rapid pace, the Prophecy Series can handle a wide range of playing techniques across rock, metal, and hardcore music. Each guitar features a thermally aged, graphite-reinforced one-piece maple neck with a Hyperglide profile, a bound ebony fretboard with a 10 to 14-inch compound radius, and 24 stainless steel frets. An extended scale length helps lower tunings stay tight and defined, while model-specific hardware and ergonomic refinements give players improved control.

At the center of these models is a pair of custom-voiced Fishman Fluence® pickups, developed exclusively for the Prophecy Series. These advanced electronics give players access to three distinct sounds: high-output modern active humbucker™ tones, vintage-inspired Patent Applied For-style humbucker character, and clear single-coil-style chime. These pickups are mounted using DAPS (Dual-Axis Pickup Stabilization), a proprietary, body-anchored system that keeps them securely aligned and parallel to the strings while allowing precise height adjustment. Integrated stabilization wings and precision-machined mounting pockets maintain stable positioning and consistent string-to-magnet spacing.

The Prophecy Series also delivers impressive looks that fit right in with the modern heavy aesthetic, with each guitar finished with a highly figured flamed maple veneer. A Protector Ultralite case is included with every purchase to keep these guitars pristine.
