Winnipeg, MB - At 5:09 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 400 block of Flora Avenue. A WFPS paramedic unit was driving by when they noticed the fire and reported it to the 911 communications centre.
At the scene, firefighters found smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire with a defensive fire attack until they could safely switch to an offensive fire attack. They declared the fire under control at 5:41 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
