Solid Waste to Conduct Regular Services on New Year's Eve and New Year

The Department of Solid Waste will conduct its regularly scheduled garbage, bulky trash, and recycling services on New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Residents who receive garbage, recycling, and bulky trash service on Thursdays-including those on the 1st and 3rd Thursday recycling schedule-are advised to place their items curbside the evening before their scheduled collection. All materials must be placed on the public right-of-way and positioned at least five feet away from all objects, such as poles, fences, mailboxes, or parked vehicles.

Additionally, the Mini Dump Facility, located at 1290 N.W. 20th Street, Miami, FL 33142, will be open on New Year's Day from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Proof of residency is required.
