When is it available?
The collection will be available at a series of pop-up and retail experiences around the world, beginning September 4 in Tokyo, with a global launch on September 25 on SNKRS.

Nike and One Piece are inspiring fans of the global manga phenomenon to take on the world with the same courage, creativity and ambition that define the One Piece universe.

The collection of Air Max Plus silhouettes, jerseys, T-shirts and caps takes after the renowned manga franchise, whose widespread cultural influence includes countless intersections with the world of sport.

The collaboration dives deep, reimagining the legendary Devil Fruits that appear in the manga One Piece storyline, giving unique powers to those who consume them.

"We were inspired by the superhuman abilities that are unleashed when One Piece characters eat the Devil Fruits, much like the feeling an athlete has when they put on a pair of Nikes. We then started reimagining the beloved Air Max Plus in a way that fans of the silhouette have never seen before," says Nick Remlinger, GM, Energy Gaming, Nike. "As we bring this collection to life, there are even more surprises coming - just like any great adventure."

The Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi fruits inform the three designs and colors of each Air Max Plus silhouette, which feature completely retooled uppers exclusive to the collection. Each shoe is complemented by Air Max Plus jerseys and caps drawn from the Nike archive.

Additionally, the collection includes T-shirts featuring a design inspired by the Jolly Roger drawn as "a mark of a promise" by the series' protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy himself, as well as manga illustrations reimagined in the style of classic Nike ads. It also includes a vest inspired by the effects of the Devil Fruits, which are said to make those who eat them "hated by the sea" and unable to swim.

The influence of One Piece has long been felt throughout the global world of sport, inspiring athlete performances and celebrations in competition. Through this collection, Nike brings the One Piece spirit into the real world, showing how sport can be a canvas for creativity, self-expression and imagination.

The Nike x One Piece collection will launch globally September 25. Details are available now on SNKRS.
