APMA is co-hosting the State Advocacy Forum with the Massachusetts Foot and Ankle Society (MFAS) in Boston on September 18-19. This signature event convenes component leaders from across the country for two days of learning, collaboration, and strategy-building on issues affecting states, from scope of practice to payer challenges. MFAS was selected as co-host this year in recognition of its commitment to advancing legislative efforts to positively impact the podiatric profession.
This year's program emphasizes equipping members with practical tools to strengthen their state advocacy efforts, including panels on cultivating advocacy partners and a skills workshop on building state legislative champions. A hallmark of the State Advocacy Forum is the opportunity to connect with peers, share strategies, and learn from common challenges. Participants will be able to take what they learn from the forum and use it in their home states to strengthen advocacy efforts.
Both APMA and state components will provide members with updates from the State Advocacy Forum after the event.
