WASHINGTON - U.S. Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement after their meeting with the Foreign Minister of Germany, Johann Wadephul.
"We were pleased to welcome Foreign Minister Wadephul to the United States Capitol for a timely meeting today. Germany and America share deep economic, cultural and security ties, which were evident in our conversation. We discussed the importance of our continued partnership to end Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, the need to protect German and American interests, as well as the critical role NATO plays in the security of its members."
