REMINDER: As Vivek Ramaswamy Campaigns with CMS Administrator Dr. Oz, He Believes Medicare and Medicaid "Were a Mistake"
When Vivek Ramaswamy campaigns alongside Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Oz this evening, he'll be reminding Ohio voters that he thinks these lifesaving programs that allow millions of Ohioans to afford health care "were a mistake." Over 25% of Ohioans get health insurance through Medicaid, and nearly 20% are Medicare beneficiaries.
"As he campaigns with Dr. Oz tonight, will Vivek Ramaswamy explain to Ohioans why he believes Medicare and Medicaid were 'mistakes,' or will he come up with even more bizarre and toxic ideas about how to attack Ohioans' health care and make life more expensive?" said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. "From taking aim at health care coverage, to threatening to shutter schools, to pushing a plan that would gut funding for public safety and impose a devastating double-digit sales tax, Ramaswamy finds new ways every day to show Ohioans that they simply cannot afford him as governor."
