Vivek Ramaswamy's Former Bodyguard Pleads Guilty to Federal Drug Trafficking Charges

In a shocking new development, WOSU reports that Vivek Ramaswamy's former bodyguard pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking charges after "participating in a narcotics conspiracy involving bulk amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine in the mail." Ramaswamy's former bodyguard and his wife intended to "distribute at least 500 grams of methamphetamine and at least 40 grams of fentanyl."

Earlier this year, reporting showed that Vivek Ramaswamy had paid $14,000 to the bodyguard in the weeks after he was arrested under federal fentanyl trafficking charges.

"As families across Ohio have been devastated by the opioid epidemic, Vivek Ramaswamy has been writing checks to criminals shipping drugs around the state," said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. "It's a gut punch to every person who has been impacted by this crisis. Ohioans deserve a governor they can trust to keep their communities safe, not one who keeps drug traffickers on payroll."
