Taft Attorneys Participate in University of Dayton Government Contracts Symposium

Taft attorneys Suzanne Sumner, Brandon Dobyns and Zach Heck participated in the 2025 Government Contracts Symposium hosted by the University of Dayton School of Law on Oct. 23.

Sumner participated in the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul panel and moderated the General Compliance Overview session with panelist Dobyns. Heck moderated a panel on CMMC Impact on Small Business.

The full-day event brought together professionals from across the procurement landscape for discussions on the future of federal contracting. Topics included DOGE's Impact on Government Contracting, What Contractors Should Know About AI, Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs, and key compliance and legal updates.

Sumner is a partner in the Taft Dayton office and co-chair of the Government Contracts Practice Group. Dobyns is of counsel in the Government Contracts Practice Group. Heck is a partner on privacy and data security.
