MIA celebrates America's 250th with line dancing in the terminal

In celebration of America's 250th anniversary this year, Miami International Airport today kicked off its performance series honoring the rich tapestry of American music and culture with a high-energy local line dance performance by Southside Stampede, welcoming airport passengers, visitors, and employees to "get in line" and join the fun in a spirit of unity, movement, and connection. Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty on stilts also entertained the airport's visitors from around the world.

The performance series, part of MIA LIVE ARTS, will offer airport visitors a variety of musical styles, including country, jazz, disco, and rock. Each performance will showcase the unique rhythms and traditions that define America. From the infectious beats of line dancing to the soulful improvisations of jazz ensembles, every performance aims to spark celebration and pride.
