Marauders Day of Giving set for February 26

The name is new, but the mission remains the same. The Marauders Day of Giving, set for Thursday, Feb. 26, is 24-hour dedicated day of online giving to generate funds for student-athletic scholarships, facility enhancements and program needs.

Millersville's student-athletes show their Marauder Pride in the classroom, in training and on gamedays 365 days a year, and on Feb. 26, Millersville Athletics encourages its alumni and friends to show their Marauder Pride by giving with pride to their favorite team. The goal of the Marauders Day of Giving is to fuel our teams, empower our coaches, and elevate our student-athletes in competition and in life.

The Marauders Day of Giving is part of the University's coordinated 75 Hours of Giving in 2026. The efforts began with the Extraordinary Give to support the Ware Center for the Arts in November. The Marauders Day of Giving, with a focus on Athletics, continues the effort, and the culmination is the One Day Give and Inaugural Presidential Gala on April 16-17.

The Marauders Day of Giving continues to feature the annual leaderboard challenges. The Millersville University Alumni Association and Northwestern Mutual have teamed to present each leaderboard challenge winning team with an additional $5,000 gift. The competitions include the men's and women's teams with the most dollars raised, most gifts, greatest gift increase from the previous year, the greatest dollar increase from the previous year, and most dollars pledged.

The one day fundraising event in 2025 generated more than $635,000 to Millersville Athletics, which was essential to supporting the student-athlete experience. The goal in 2026 is to eclipse $750,000. Teams plan to utilize supporter's generosity in a variety of ways including international and spring break competition trips, facility and equipment upgrades, and establishment of scholarships.
