April 28, 2026

Did you know that as a work study student, you may be eligible for SNAP/Food Assistance? The Basic Needs Hub has two Spring events to help students apply for SNAP food benefits.

On Wednesday, April 29 at 4 p.m. in Haggard Hall 101, staff will help students fill out their applications and explain the SNAP application process.

On Wednesday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. we will have DSHS mobile office in Red Square helping students through the entire SNAP application process.

Students may be eligible:

  • Have accepted work study OR, work 20 hours a week/80 hours a month
  • Have valid WA state identification
  • Meet income requirements
  • Do not have a campus meal plan

If you currently supervise work study students, we appreciate you spreading the word about SNAP and these campus events. The Basic Needs Hub is here to assist students with applications and answer questions.
