ONC published a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) under the Leading Edge Acceleration Projects (LEAP) in Health Information Technology (Health IT) funding opportunity NAP-AX-26-001. The goal of the funding opportunity is to accelerate the use of standards-based agentic artificial intelligence technologies to advance clinical care and enable innovation, enhance the Lantern tool's ability to monitor FHIR endpoints by adding a secure, community-driven feedback layer, and to assess laboratory data quality and implement existing solutions to improve small independent laboratories' adoption and use of standard codes.

Area 1: Accelerate the use of agentic artificial intelligence solutions in clinical care.
