Swing Into Action: Lower Bucks Hospital's First Annual Golf Outing

A Day of Community, Commitment, and Care at Makefield Highlands Golf Club

Bristol, PA (May 28, 2026) - On a sunny Thursday, May 28, Makefield Highlands Golf Club came alive with laughter, camaraderie and the excitement of golf as Lower Bucks Hospital hosted its First Annual Golf Outing, "Swing into Action." The event united local residents, businesses and hospital supporters for a day on the green that directly supported the hospital's mission to enhance community well being.

Participants were welcomed with seamless check in, complimentary welcome gifts and cigars before competing in on course contests including Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and a Hole in One Challenge. Additional fundraising and fun features included Mulligans and a 50 50 raffle. Local businesses supported the outing through a variety of sponsorship opportunities-sponsoring carts, providing lunch and displaying signage-while event attendees enjoyed activities such as a Bucks County Baseball Company booth offering bids on exclusive sports memorabilia.

The day concluded with an elegant Italian buffet dinner and an awards presentation recognizing the top performers and the 50 50 raffle winner. Michael Motte, CEO of Lower Bucks Hospital, addressed attendees to thank organizers, sponsors and participants, and emphasized that proceeds from the outing will directly support the expansion of the hospital's behavioral health unit and related programs.

"The outpouring of community support today demonstrates the power of coming together for a common purpose," said Michael Motte. "Funds raised at Swing into Action will make a meaningful difference for patients and families who rely on expanded behavioral health services."

Attendees departed Makefield Highlands with a renewed sense of purpose and anticipation for next year's outing, where the community will once again "swing into action" in support of local health care initiatives.
