3D Ultrasound for scoliosis

Scoliosis is a common spine deformity among adolescents. According to statistics from the Department of Health, about 2% to 3% of adolescents in Hong Kong are affected by it. To assist clinical medical staff in scoliosis screening, we teamed up with a research team from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to develop a radiation-free three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound imaging system, Scolioscan. Professor Zheng Yongping, the co-founder and technical consultant of Telefield Medical Imaging Limited, was invited to share the innovative technology and views on industry-university-research cooperation.
