A recent Gallup survey conducted with Edward Jones found that about 1 in 5 Americans who sought financial advice in the past year turned to artificial intelligence, but confidence in AI as a source of financial guidance remains low. While AI can be a useful research tool, CFP® professionals have a fiduciary duty to act in their clients' best interests, a responsibility that AI cannot fulfill because it lacks a complete understanding of an individual's financial situation, goals and circumstances.
