NGK exhibition at Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026

October 08, 2026

NGK Europe GmbH will exhibit honeycomb structures for Direct Air Capture (DAC), ceramic gas separation membranes, and CO2 Sensor will contribute to CCS and CCU initiatives at Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026 in Hamburg Messe, Germany, from 20 to 22 October 2026.

Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026 will gather over 20,000 visitors to address recent advancements of technologies for Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage. The event is co-located with the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe. Consequently, main technologies & solutions needed for a future Carbon Neutral World will be displayed at one single event.

Exhibited Products

NGK will display the following products:

  • Honeycomb structures based on ceramics materials as key component for DAC-systems.
  • Structured reactors that increase efficiency in chemical synthesis.
  • Sub-nano ceramic membranes used for CO2-separation (e.g. for production of renewable natural gas) or H2-separation (e.g. purification of Hydrogen stored in depleted reservoir, aquifer and salt caverns).
  • High-response CO2 sensor suitable for high-temperature and high-humidity environments.

NGK is developing and commercializing above products based on our core material and process know-how.

  • Our honeycomb structures are based on many years of experience as a supplier to the automotive industry, particularly in the field of ceramic substrates for emission control systems. This expertise enables us to manufacture lightweight structures with low pressure drop, making them ideally suited for DAC applications.
  • Same as for Direct Air Capture, our structured reactors build on our experience from the automotive sector and combine optimal geometry with high thermal conductivity to deliver uniform temperature distribution, improved catalyst efficiency and enhanced reaction selectivity.
  • We produce our ceramic membranes using advanced extrusion technology combined with proprietary crystal growth methods. This allows us to create highly selective membranes characterized by high permeability and large membrane surface areas.
  • Drawing on ceramic technologies developed through the creation of automotive NOx sensors, our CO2 sensors deliver real-time, high-precision CO2 measurements even in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.

We are looking forward to meeting you at Stand 4B62 !
