SR-75/I-5 Connectors Closed August 23, 27

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to southbound State Route 75 (SR-75), and the northbound SR-75 connector to southbound I-5 will be closed on Sunday, August 23, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge work. Caltrans will also close the northbound I-5 connector to southbound SR-75 on Thursday, August 27 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for sign work.

Motorists on southbound I-5 will exit at S 27th Street/National Avenue, turn right on National Avenue, turn left onto northbound I-5, and then use the southbound SR-75 connector.

Motorists on northbound SR-75 may continue towards the northbound I-5 connector, exit at 19th Street/J Street, turn left onto J Street, left onto 17th Street, and use the on-ramp to southbound I-5.

Motorists on northbound I-5 will exit on the 19th Street/J Street off-ramp, then turn left on J Street and utilize the southbound I-5 on-ramp towards the southbound SR-75 connector.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
