Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders' librarian honored with proclamation

Minda Anderson, librarian at Austin ISD's Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, will be celebrated and honored with a proclamation "Ms. Minda Day" in the City of Austin.

"As a native Austinite and Austin ISD graduate, I am incredibly humbled and honored by this proclamation. I love my city and am proud to represent our community," she said. "I consider myself lucky to have been raised by City of Austin public libraries and schools, where I had the freedom to fall in love with literature. I hope everyone who hears about this day is inspired to celebrate their freedom to read!"

The day will be begin with refreshments and pastries in the library and the proclamation will be presented at the school assembly.

When: Monday, Sept. 8, Reception 8-9 a.m., Assembly 9-9:30 a.m.
