Testing Center Transition

Following a review of institutional needs and utilization, upcoming changes will be made to testing center operations over the summer 2026 term.

The Anchorage testing center will wind down operations over the summer. Once we are able to establish a closing date, we will update the UAA community. We will continue operating the JBER location to serve military-affiliated students and the military community, as it provides several tests that support the use of military experience toward certificates and degrees.

Demand for many in-person testing services has declined as placement and scholarship testing requirements have changed and options for online testing have grown. Over the next several weeks, we will determine what testing services may still be available through Academic Affairs. Online proctoring through HonorLock remains an option for many existing UAA tests.

This approach will maintain essential services while better aligning resources with priority areas such as student support, housing and recruitment.

We will also provide updates on the UAA testing center website, as they become available.

Thank you.
