International law firm Bird & Bird advised Raise, the investment vehicle of French entrepreneur Aymar Henin, as lead investor in the €30 million Series A fundraising of Biolevate, a French health Tech startup specialising in the automation of life sciences operations through artificial intelligence.
Led by Raise and Oranges Ventures, this financing round, which also brought together MSD Global Health Innovation Fund (MGHIF) and existing investor EQT Ventures, enables Biolevate to accelerate its ambition of becoming the global benchmark for regulated life sciences operations, thanks to its highly specialised agentic platform capable of transforming complex scientific and regulatory knowledge into auditable, evidence-based workflows. Unlike generalist AI systems, the platform continuously grounds its outputs in source evidence, enabling organisations in the sector to deploy AI with confidence in regulated environments while retaining human oversight over decisions.
This transaction coincides with the opening of a new office in Boston, at the heart of the global pharmaceutical ecosystem. Over the past twelve months, Biolevate has multiplied its annual revenue by 20%, surpassing a dozen enterprise clients in production, and doubled its headcount to 50 employees. At the same time, Biolevate has filed seven patent applications covering several therapeutic areas, two of which have already been filed in Europe.
Bird & Bird advised Raise on corporate matters, led by Partner Olivier Peronnau and Associate Pascaline Sagot.
