On November 12, in Copenhagen, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the Danish Parliament, Karsten Hønge, and members of the Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Committees.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Denmark, the agenda of deepening the Armenia-European Union partnership, as well as issues of regional security.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the growing cooperation between the parliaments of Armenia and Denmark, including within the Armenia-Nordic-Baltic (NB8) format. Ararat Mirzoyan stressed that the commitment of these countries to democracy, the rule of law, human rights protection, and good governance continues to inspire and support Armenia on its path of democratic reforms and the deepening of its partnership with the European Union.
The Minister recalled the adoption in March 2025 by the National Assembly of Armenia of the law "Launching Accession Process of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union," which, first of all, reflected the aspirations of the citizens of Armenia expressed through a civil initiative.
Referring to the agreements reached in Washington, DC, on August 8, Minister Mirzoyan noted that the unblocking of regional transport communications creates mutual advantages for both the countries of the region and beyond, contributing to the expansion of communication networks between Europe and Asia. Ararat Mirzoyan also presented Armenia's approach regarding the signing of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Inter-State Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Humanitarian issues were also touched upon.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia answered other questions of interest to the Danish parliamentarians.
