NEW YORK - May 7, 2026 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented Praana Group, an India-based holding group that operates a diverse portfolio of companies primarily serving the industrial sector, in connection with its acquisition of Owens Corning's (NYSE: OC) glass reinforcements business at an enterprise value of $645 million.
Praana Group is a diversified multinational business group with a global presence in specialty chemicals and advanced materials. Its portfolio includes Galata Chemicals, Artek Surfin Chemicals, Sterling Specialty Chemicals, and 3B Fibreglass. The group continues to expand its global capabilities through strategic acquisitions and investments across specialty chemicals and advanced materials, serving industries including construction, automotive, energy, textiles, and consumer sectors. Praana focuses on innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value creation while maintaining a strong commitment to governance, quality, and sustainable growth.
The multioffice Greenberg Traurig team was led by Kalyan "Kal" Das and Adam S. Namoury, shareholders in the Corporate Practice in New York, and Dario Ciapponi and Hailey Burton Petrick, associates in the Corporate Practice in New York.
Notably, Greenberg Traurig acted as lead global antitrust counsel to Praana Group. The integrated team successfully guided the deal through months of extended review across several jurisdictions in Europe and the Americas, ultimately obtaining all clearances with no remedy commitments. Greenberg Traurig's Antitrust Litigation & Competition Regulation team was led by Justin P. Hedge and Stephen M. Pepper in the United States; Robert Gago, Dr. Christoph Enaux, and Dr. Lucas Wüsthof in Europe; and Miguel Flores Bernés and Rocio Olea in Mexico.
