Learn how the new turf watering ban impacts you

Virtual "Lunch & Learn" on November 13, 2025 at 12-1 p.m.

California's new water conservation law, AB 1572, will ban the use of potable (drinking) water to irrigate non-functional turf-decorative grass not used for recreation-at commercial, industrial, institutional (CII), and HOA common-area properties. The phased ban begins in 2027, giving property owners time to prepare and plan for compliance.

Santa Ana's Water Resources Division invites CII and HOA property owners and managers to a free virtual Lunch & Learn hosted by CalWEP and SoCalGas to learn about AB 1572. Topics include identifying non-functional turf, understanding compliance timelines, exploring available rebates, and transforming landscapes for beauty, savings, and sustainability.

Date: Thursday, November 13, 2025 Time: 12-1 p.m. (virtual) Register here: https://calwep.org/event/less-lawn-more-solutions/ Download the flyer: AB 1572 virtual lunch & learn flyer (pdf)
