Geiger Reaches Sustainability Milestone in Buffalo

Geiger has achieved GreenCircle Zero Waste to Landfill Certification for its Buffalo, New York, facility, becoming the first MillerKnoll manufacturing site to earn the distinction.

GreenCircle Zero Waste to Landfill Certification is an independent verification that a facility diverts virtually all waste from landfills through recycling, reuse, composting, and other recovery methods.

This milestone for Geiger's Buffalo facility, known for developing conferencing and highly customized solutions, reflects progress toward MillerKnoll's FY2030 zero-landfill goal for its largest manufacturing operations. The certification shows ongoing momentum across the company's wider manufacturing network.

The certification reflects Geiger's continuing sustainability leadership and its dedication to designing products made to last through enduring craftmanship, durable material choices, and using lower-carbon materials such as biomass balance foam.

Beyond Geiger, MillerKnoll has made meaningful progress across its manufacturing footprint, with multiple facilities advancing waste reduction and diversion efforts, including Knoll's East Greenville, Pennsylvania facility, which achieved zero waste to landfill operations. Together, these efforts demonstrate MillerKnoll's ongoing progress toward a more sustainable future through responsible operations, material innovation, circular design, and environmental stewardship.
