PSC Sets Virtual Local Public Hearing for Ameren Proposed Generation Battery Storage Facilities pr-26-17

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.--- The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) is announcing a virtual local public hearing on October 30, 2025 , at noon to receive public comments on an application filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri for facilities to be located at the former Rush Island Energy Center.


On June 25, 2025, Ameren Missouri filed an application with the Commission requesting a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) for an 800-megawatt multi-unit, simple-cycle natural gas electric generation facility and a 400-megawatt battery storage facility.

In order to ensure broad participation and the ability for every citizen to offer comments, comments may be time-limited.

To facilitate an orderly presentation that can be preserved for the record, members of the public who wish to participate in the virtual hearing should register, but are not required to register, by sending their first and last name, phone number, and email address to [email protected] or by calling 800-392-4211 by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing.
