Eddie Vedder Introduces Maná As They Make History At Ohana Fest As The Festival’s Only Latin Rock Band

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 (LOS ANGELES, CA) - Last night, Mexican rock legends MANÁ co-headlined night one of Ohana Festival's 10th anniversary celebration at Dana Point's Doheny State Beach. Festival founder Eddie Vedder introduced MANÁ as they took the stage, bringing together two generations of rock artists and audiences across languages and cultures.

MANÁ's high-energy set featured a selection of their biggest hits, including Oye Mi Amor, Clavado en un Bar and Rayando El Sol. As the only Latin act on the 2026 Ohana lineup, MANÁ brought their signature rock en español to the festival's 10th anniversary celebration, making their appearance a particularly notable moment in the weekend's programming.

Friday's Ohana set is the latest highlight in a landmark 40th anniversary year for MANÁ. In June, the band took the stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony at Mexico City Stadium, performing their classic "Oye Mi Amor" before a billion viewers across a global television audience.

The performance comes as MANÁ continues its Vivir Sin Aire Tour, currently underway across the U.S. and Latin America. The tour features an all-new production with immersive video design and an onstage waterfall, bringing the band's signature live experience to audiences across the country and beyond. Following a highly successful first leg, MANÁ will continue its U.S. arena dates through November before heading to Latin America for six stadium performances in Bogotá, Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires. The tour will culminate with two nights at Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros on December 16 and 17, marking a special homecoming celebration 40 years after the band first formed in Mexico.

Beyond the current tour, MANÁ's four-decade career has been defined by a series of milestones that have expanded the reach of Latin rock. The band has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, with their landmark 1992 album ¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños? recognized as the best-selling Latin rock album of all time. Their music continues to connect with fans across generations and musical genres, generating 1.3 billion Spotify streams and 1.6 billion YouTube views annually.

MANÁ has conquered stages in more than 30 countries, including Latin America, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Israel, Italy and Spain, and is the Latin band with the most tickets sold in history. The band has performed 47 arena shows in Los Angeles, more than any other artist in the history of the city, surpassing Bruce Springsteen's previous record of 42. They became the first artist of any genre or language to hold an arena residency in Los Angeles and the only Latin band to headline BottleRock Napa Valley and, in 2024.

MANÁ has earned four GRAMMY Awards and nine Latin GRAMMY Awards, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in 2025 became thefirst Spanish-language band nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

That influence extends beyond music through Fundación Selva Negra, MANÁ's social and environmental foundation, which has supported environmental, social and human rights causes across Latin America for 30 years.
