Michael Whatley Accepts Endorsement of National Border Patrol Council

RALEIGH - On Friday, the non-partisan National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) endorsed Michael Whatley for US Senate due to his commitment to border security and the men and women who patrol our US borders every day. NBPC President Paul Perez made the endorsement announcement at a series of events across North Carolina.

The NBPC is the organization that represents approximately 18,000 Border Patrol agents and the support personnel assigned to the US Border Patrol. NBPC members, including Perez, are on the front lines enforcing US border security. NBPC is non-partisan and endorses both Democrats and Republicans.

Whatley, Perez, elected officials, and law enforcement officials discussed how the open-border policies that Cooper endorsed had allowed millions of illegal immigrants and thousands of pounds of illicit fentanyl to enter the country under the Biden Administration. Cooper's veto of legislation that would have simply required NC sheriffs to follow the law and work with the federal officials tasked with enforcing legal US immigration policy was also discussed.

Whatley and Perez also joined Angel Families and families with loved ones killed by illicit fentanyl in Raleigh to discuss how Roy Cooper's open border policies had a real impact on North Carolina families.

Whatley and Perez were joined by Congressman Addison McDowell in Cabarrus County. And Beaufort County Sheriff Scott Hammonds in Pitt County.

"I am honored to receive the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council. Paul Perez and the dedicated Border Patrol agents put their lives on the line each day to ensure the safety and security of our nation. A nation without borders ceases to be a nation at all. Which is why I am proud to have their support and will always work to ensure our nation has a strong and secure border to keep our families safe from the scourge of illicit fentanyl and millions of illegal immigrants allowed to enter our country under Joe Biden and Roy Cooper," said Michael Whatley.

"The National Border Patrol Council is proud to endorse Michael Whatley in his US Senate race. Michael has proven that he is going to be a strong supporter of securing our border and ensuring our men and women on the frontlines have the support they need to do their job. Roy Cooper was Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' number one cheerleader as they allowed our border to be overrun by millions of illegal immigrants, while their Administration stood by and did nothing. We need strong leaders who will stand up for our agents and work to ensure we have a secure border, that man is Michael Whatley," said the National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez.
