MACE makes arrest in CSAM case

Roseville, MI - Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Macomb Area Computer Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) Detectives, including Electronic Detection K-9 Briggs, and the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children (I.C.A.C.) Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence on the 25000 block of Mackinac Street in the City of Roseville.

The suspect, 46-year-old Paul Vizzaccero, was allegedly in possession of child sexually abusive material. Vizzaccero was taken into custody without incident.

M.A.C.E. Detectives received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) indicating that images containing child sexually abusive material were being uploaded by the suspect. Multiple pieces of evidence were seized from the home and are under forensic review.

Upon completion of the initial search of the residence, MCSO K-9 Briggs did a secondary sweep of the home and detached garage. K-9 Briggs located additional pieces of evidence that were seized.

Vizzaccero was formally arraigned August 27, 2026, at the 39th District Court in Roseville on the following charges:
• One Count: Computers - Internet - communicating with another to commit a crime - maximum imprisonment of 15 years or more or life; a 20-year felony; This is a Tier II Offense under the Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA). It is a Tier III Offense if the defendant has a prior Tier II Offense.
• One count: Child sexually abusive activity - aggravated disturbing or promoting; a 15-year-felony; This is a Tier II Offense under the Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA). It is a Tier III Offense if the defendant has a prior Tier II Offense.
• Four counts: Child sexually abusive material - aggravated possession; a 10-year felony, a Tier I Offense under the Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA). It is a Tier II Offense if the defendant has a prior conviction for a Tier I Offense. It is a Tier III Offense if the defendant has a prior Tier II Offense.

• Four Counts: Computers - using to commit a crime - maximum imprisonment of 10 years or more but less than 20 years; a 10-year felony,
• Four Counts: Computers - using to commit a crime - maximum imprisonment of 4 years or more but less than 10 years; a 7-year felony,
• Four counts: Child sexually abusive material - possession; a 4-year felony. This is a Tier I Offense under the Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA). It is a Tier II Offense if the defendant has a prior conviction for a Tier I Offense. It is a Tier III Offense if the defendant has a prior Tier II Offense.
• Habitual Offender - fourth offense notice - life if primary offense has a penalty of 5 years or more; 15 years or less if primary offense has a penalty under 5 years.

Bond was set at $500,000 cash/surety, no 10%, no contact with minors and no use of any electronic equipment. Vizzaccero remains lodged at the Macomb County Jail.
